Governance
Governance is essentially the means of ensuring due and adequate control over the
strategy and direction of an organisation and the stewardship, use and disposition of
its assets - both financial and non-financial - in achieving its objectives. Good
governance is therefore a function of leadership and direction within the organisation;
appropriate risk management and control over its activities; and the manner in which
meaningful disclosure relating to its activities is made to its stakeholders.
