This launch forms part of a two-day seminar reflecting on the 10 years of social housing delivery. Vancouver Welcomes the World Urban Forum

On June 19-23, the world gathered in Vancouver, Canada, for the Third Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF3) and identified solutions to the critical problems facing cities around the globe. The Government of Canada was proud to partner with UN-HABITAT to host this historic biennial meeting, themed Our Future: Sustainable Cities - Turning Ideas into Action. More than 6,000 participants from 150 nations were expected in Vancouver over five days.

Public Housing Stock Transfer Conference
8 - 9 March 2005
The conference on Public Housing Stock Transfer - Working Towards a Solution was organized jointly by the Social Housing Foundation and Gauteng Department of Housing. The conference was held on 8 & 9 March 2005. Its purpose was to explore options for the transfer of Public Housing Stock (PHS) held by the Provincial Government and municipalities to Social Housing Institutions (SHIs), the private sector and individuals.
